Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026. This is a starter policy for a new site; it should be reviewed before ads or an email list go live.
Who we are
Phonics & Sums ("we") runs this website. Contact: see our Contact page.
Information we collect
- Right now: the site is static. We don't run accounts, comments or a working sign-up form. The email box on our Free Printables page is a placeholder and doesn't send data anywhere yet.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may log standard technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and performance.
- Email list (future): if we add a newsletter, we'll ask for your email address only, use it to send the printables and occasional updates, and name the email provider here before turning it on. You'll be able to unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
Display ads. We may show display ads from a third-party ad network to help keep this site free. Ads appear only on our article pages, in one clearly labelled "Advertisement" spot, not on the home page, category pages, the workbook page, Free Printables or this page. When an ad loads, the ad network may set cookies or use similar technologies and may collect information about your device and browser (such as IP address, browser type, the page you were on and how you interacted with the ad). That information is handled under the ad network's own privacy policy, not ours. We don't receive your name or contact details from the ads, and we don't sell personal data.
You can limit ad cookies through your browser's cookie and tracking settings or an ad blocker, and through industry opt-out tools such as aboutads.info. If we add analytics or another ad vendor, we'll name it here first and add a consent banner where the law requires one.
Affiliate links
Some links are affiliate links. If you click one, the merchant or affiliate network may set a cookie to credit us for a purchase. We don't receive your payment details. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Children's privacy
This site is written for parents and teachers. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU/UK), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us to make a request.
Changes
We'll update this page when we add analytics, ads or an email list, and change the date at the top.
